Is “City of Life and Death” a reconsideration on history or a consuption of history?

It is disputable on China-Japan relationship. Except the movie with in the mainsteam, any movie or art work that wants to understand the history in different angle will be doubted and criticized. Cape No.7 directed by Twain director is a live example. The movie shows the affection of a Japan soldier to a China girl, which is expressed as a poison grass.

When the dispute of Cape No.7 is still on,  Nanjing Nanjing directed by Luchuan has rised. It does not represents the mainsteam. It does not show the patriotism and old fashioned love story. The key is to save, and  the hope.

Most movies show the hatred towards Japan soldier and weak Chinese in Nanjing Battue, however, in this history, resist of Chinese has been neglected. This movie is the one which expresses the peoples' strength of Chinese.

To the "City of Life and Death", we sinserely hope to participate. What kind of mood should we adopt to watch this movie?
